JANET BRAGG is Labour's candidate at this year's local elections. Janet has been a Councillor in Hillsborough for the last six years.
She lives locally, her children attended local schools and she is still serving as a school governor. Indeed, even before being elected as a Councillor, she had a long record of public service, as a community activist campaigning for better parks, organising local play groups, and fighting to protect tenants' rights.
An avid gardener and keen cyclist, she is concerned about the environment, and is a firm believer in public transport.
Janet has good links with local groups and churches, and has been an ardent campaigner against the BNP
