General Election 2010: Live election leaflet monitoring
"Everyone needs an Oriel" says Linda Robson
My commitments ... something has to be done locally.
1) Will fight for cheapest water tarriff from Thames Water for Council leaseholders and tenants. Cut Council Taz by £100 over 4 years.
2) Fight for Rose Bowl Youth Club, more provision for youth and toddlers
3) Stop Council and their agents for delays and charging for substandard work
4) Increase number of points on housing waiting list for local people.
5) Islington Council contracts no longer than 5 years, rather than up to 30 years.
6) Cut fat cat salaries at Islington Council & Cambridge Education
Myself: [Born in Islington, live in Canonbury. Christian, married to a man from Limerick, two children.]
My Islington: [recollections of Islington]
My Politics: We must feel safe in our own home and on the streets. That is basic. I believe in well managed, public services. I seek stark improvements in failing services, like Seconday education & housing.
