General Election 2010: Live election leaflet monitoring

UKIP local issues

My local issues are
• Walthamstow Greyhound Stadium should be bought back and re-opened. People need leisure and this is what the Greyhound Stadium provided in an enjoyable and un-threatening way.
• With 100 different languages spoken in London schools I would campaign for every child starting school to speak English and for pre-school classes in English to be provided if necessary.

From UKIP web site:

Question ... 'Why is the reopening of a greyhound stadium in East London so important to the electors of Richmond Park?'
said ... 'RICHMOND PARK CONSTITUENCY , Regrettably reference to Walthamstow Greyhound Stadium has appeared in my Election Address owing, apparently , to an error at the Printers. My local issues which should have appeared are: “ – Elected Police Authorities will ensure their Members are accountable to YOU for successes and failures. YOU can then ensure politically correct dogma is dumped in favour of policing dealing with public safety and crime fighting - Parking Charges in Richmond & Bushy Parks ; nothing will be imposed without a direct vote by local people, UKIP’s policy being binding Referenda on all significant local issues”
